Collection: Sea You Free
Transforming seeds and plants into accessories. Handcrafted by artisans from rural communities in Ecuador.
At the heart of what Sea You Free does is the tagua seed, a natural seed from the tagua palm, also known as vegetable ivory, from the tropical forests of Ecuador. This palm takes between 14 and 15 years to reach maturity and produce its first fruits. They work directly with small families of artisans in rural communities who harvest the tagua seeds by hand. After harvesting, the seeds are dried (for this part of the process we need a lot of sun) until they harden and are ready to be transformed.
