About Esther Estevez
Esther Estévez is a multidisciplinary artist and designer. Rotterdam based ceramicist.  Her work stems from the intersection of craft and design with an affinity for traditional shapes. Born in Spain but with a ceramicist career based in The Netherlands, blending in this way the tradicion coming from her roots with the inspiration of a city in a continuous transformation as Rotterdam. Every piece has the influence of the surroundings with a strong interest for the textures combining different clays with high contents in chamotte and changing to the smoothest material as it is the porcelain. Her practice goes from throwing on the wheel to handbuilding techniques being at the moment focused on dinnerware and sculptural vessels. She started throwing on the wheel in 2015. You can find her work in multiple shops along Europe. She has been exhibiting in Milan Design Week, Rotterdam and Madrid.  She also teaches and hosts workshops in her studio in the city of Rotterdam.
