Description
Earrings made from stones and objects gleaned in Paris since 2020, silent witnesses to this city, its evolution, its collective struggles and its individual histories. They are all fragments of objects or human constructions, returned to the organic state of pebbles. The molten metal come from carcasses burnt during riots against police violence and the stones fragments from the sidewalk that crumbled in the explosion. 24k gold-plated brass, nickel-free fittings from Bulgaria and Italy. Unique piece designed and handmade in Paris.
Each fragment is chosen for its weight. Poetry is born from the apparent weight of the stone, yet it seems to float at the tip of the ear that wears it. Earrings may show signs of wear or deterioration, related to the essence of upcycling. These elements are not flaws, but a reflection of the history and process of this jewelry.
These pair of earrings is by definition adjustable to fit different sizes of ears and play around with its possible compositions.
