 About Sybille Berger
After working for seven years as a designer at Bouroullec studio, Sybille Berger launched her first collection of handmade garments reusing robracks and color charts, from the furniture publisher, Kvadrat. Inspired by sailboat sails, she sews swatches of fabric together with zigzag lines creating simple color blocked vests and jackets. She adds thermo-adhesive reinforcement strips to aesthetically unify the pieces of fabric together. This seam finish also makes her pieces reversible. Berger creates unique ready to wear pieces that give new life to materials that would otherwise be thrown away.
